Yuva Mitra observed while working in drought prone area of eastern part of Sinnar, that Tribal and backward community is facing adverse circumstances in accessing drinking water. They used to face lots of struggle and problems for its arrangement. To make drinking water easily accessible, Yuva Mitra designed Drinking Water Security Scheme with the help of community guidance regarding resource availability and their need. The cost for establishing one drinking water scheme is around Rs. 1 lakh. Through this, 5 villages namely Chas, Khambale, Sonewadi, Phulenagar and Kasarwadi were covered benefitting 1690 beneficiaries and 1069 goats. This program is being run on pilot basis and planning is done to scale up in the villages facing similar problem. Nalanda Foundation has taken initiative by supporting this program financially.
