Yuva Mitra honoured with National Level ‘Mahindra Samruddhi India Agri Awards’ 2014 (NGO of the year)
It gives us immense pleasure to share the news of us receiving a National Level award in the field of Innovations in Agriculture.
The objective of this award is to recognize and celebrate the often unsung heroes who have made a purposeful contribution that made a difference in the field of Indian Agriculture.
The awards are given by Mahindra & Mahindra, Farm Equipment Sector, which is the market leader in the Indian Tractor Industry. M&M Ltd. is also the largest tractor selling company in the world by volume.
Yuva Mitra has received this prestigious “Krishi Sahyog Samman” in the NGO category for the innovative ‘5 R farming System’ which is successfully implemented in the drought affected area of Sinner Block of Nashik District.
The Award was conferred at the hands of Mr. Tariq Anwar, Honorable Minister of State, Agriculture and Cooperative, in a grand ceremony on 24th February 2014 at New Delhi.
The dignitaries who graced the occasion included Mr. Anand Mahindra, Chairman Mahindra & Mahindra, Mr. Pawan Goenka, Chairman and Executive Director of Mahindra Automotive & Farm Equipment Sectors, Mr. Ashish Bahuguna, Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture and Deans of Agricultural Universities and eminent personalities from the Indian Industry.
The award includes a trophy, citation and a cash prize of Rs. Two Lakh Eleven Thousand.
Yuva Mitra’s development work from the past twelve years in the drought prone area of Sinnar has received recognition and appreciation due to this National level award.
