Overview:
The “Skill Development through Fashion Designing and Beauty Parlor Course” project, funded by KSB CARE CHARITABLE TRUST, was a transformative initiative aimed at creating livelihood opportunities for women in the burgeoning fashion and beauty industries. The project targeted women from Sinnar block and surrounding villages, focusing on providing vocational trainings, Soft Skill trainings and Exposure visits to enhance their skills, employability, and entrepreneurial potential.
This initiative empowers women by breaking traditional barriers and providing opportunities for skill development and economic independence. Through creativity, innovation, and business acumen, the program helps women achieve their aspirations and contribute to their families and communities.
Key Achievements:
The project achieved significant milestones, including:
- Trained 160 women, who were divided into two groups focusing on fashion design and beauty parlor skills.
- Delivered a comprehensive curriculum that covered garment construction, pattern making, skincare, haircare, makeup techniques, and salon management.
- Ensured a 100% certification rate, with graduates receiving joint certification from Yuva Mitra and KSB Care Charitable Trust.
- Facilitated networking and partnership opportunities, which helped participants secure employment or start their own businesses.
