In 2020, Krushi Sampada Farmers Producers Company Limited, in collaboration with Yuva Mitra and NABARD Produce Fund, initiated a transformative journey in the rural landscapes of Patoda and Yeola Taluka. United by a vision to revive agriculture and uplift farmers, their journey unfolded as a beacon of success.
Amidst a perennial issue of farmers struggling to sell their produce, exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, the company responded with innovative solutions. They crafted a 10 Kg basket with a diverse range of produce, from grapes to pomegranates, reaching selected societies in Mumbai and Nashik, bridging the urban-rural gap. Sales worth 25 lakhs during the drought directly benefited 125 farmers. The company supplied essential inputs directly to farmers at affordable prices, transitioning to residue-free farming, resulting in the export of grapes worth Rs 35 lakhs in 2021.
Their endeavors not only empowered farmers economically but also educated urban consumers about the benefits of sustainable, chemical-free produce. This shift in mindset towards clean food is crucial for the health and well-being of all.
Looking ahead, the company is committed to improving the agricultural value chain, ensuring fair prices for both farmers and consumers. Collaboration with organizations like Yuva Mitra remains essential in realizing this vision.
Reflecting on their journey, they express gratitude to all stakeholders, particularly Yuva Mitra, whose unwavering support has been instrumental in their success. Together, they are fostering sustainable agriculture, empowering communities, and creating a brighter future for Patoda and Yeola Taluka.
In a nutshell, their story is one of rural transformation—a testament to the power of collaboration, sustainable practices, and the unwavering spirit of resilience.
